We had an amazing experience with Crown Yachts Miami. The crew and captain were friendly, professional and made sure we had the best time. We cruised past Star Island and later stopped at a sandbar to swim. Such a great day, thank you!

It was our first time exploring Miami by yacht and it was one of the best experiences we've had. The crew took great care of us the entire time. They were super friendly and patient. We stopped at multiple spots to take photos and the captain was more than happy to adjust the route whenever we wanted. Marinda also helped capture so many great moments for us, which made the whole experience even better. We will absolutely be returning!

Booked a Sunseeker yacht in South Beach last month and it was amazing. The yacht looked incredible and the whole setup was perfectly arranged. Everything was on point from the moment we arrived. Our captain Ben was also very friendly and professional. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

We rented the 66ft Azimut during our trip to Miami and it was honestly one of the best days of our vacation. Everything was smooth from the start. We ordered food and drinks ahead of time, and when we arrived, everything was already set up on the yacht and super fresh. The drinks were already chilled in the ice box, which was perfect. We had an amazing time out on the water, everything was exactly how we hoped it would be. Definitely recommend Crown Yachts Miami if you're trying to have a fun day out with friends. Would 100% book again!

FAQ

Florida Keys Charter Questions

Do I need a passport for a Florida Keys yacht charter?
No. The Florida Keys are part of the United States, so a Keys charter is entirely domestic. No passport or customs process is required, unlike a Bahamas crossing. Just step aboard in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and go.
How far are the Florida Keys from Miami and Fort Lauderdale?
Key Largo is the closest island, roughly 30 to 45 miles from South Florida, which makes it a comfortable day trip. Islamorada and Marathon sit farther down the island chain, and Key West is about 130 miles away, which is why Key West is best enjoyed as an overnight or multi-day charter.
Can I do a Florida Keys day trip, or do I need to stay overnight?
Both work. A day trip to Key Largo or Islamorada leaves South Florida in the morning and returns the same evening. Key West is too far for a single day on the water, so it is done as a 24-hour or multi-day charter with an overnight stay.
Where do the yachts depart from?
Our Florida Keys charters depart from deep-water marinas in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. We recommend the departure point closest to where you are staying, whether that is the short Miami to Key Largo run or a longer passage, and handle the full route down the island chain with a licensed captain and crew.
What is there to do in the Florida Keys by yacht?
The Keys are famous for snorkeling and diving the only living coral reef in the continental United States, world-class sportfishing off Islamorada, quiet sandbars and beach anchorages, and the sunset scene in Key West. Your captain builds the day around what you want to do.
What is included in a Florida Keys charter?
Every charter includes a licensed captain and professional crew, fuel for the planned route, a Bluetooth sound system, water toys, cooler and ice. Catering, a private chef, snorkel gear, and overnight provisioning can be added for longer trips.
Do I need a boating license?
No. Every Crown charter includes a licensed captain and crew, so you never drive the yacht. You step aboard, relax, and enjoy the run down the Keys.
What kind of yacht is best for the Florida Keys?
The Keys have famously shallow water, so catamarans and shallow-draft yachts open up more anchorages and backcountry flats. For the longer runs to Marathon and Key West, a larger motor yacht makes the passage fast and comfortable. We match the yacht to your route.
How much does a Florida Keys yacht charter cost?
Keys charters are quoted per itinerary because pricing depends on trip length, the yacht, and the route. A day trip to Key Largo is our shortest option, while an overnight or multi-day charter to Key West is fully crewed and priced for the days aboard. Send us your dates for an exact quote.
How far in advance should we book?
For overnight and multi-day Keys charters we recommend booking several weeks to a few months ahead, especially in peak season. Day trips to Key Largo can sometimes be arranged on shorter notice, so reach out on WhatsApp for the fastest response.
