The closest full-service departure to Lake Boca Raton, on the Hillsboro Boulevard canal in Deerfield Beach. From Cove Marina the lake is 20 to 30 minutes north up the Intracoastal, past Deerfield Island Park and Boca Raton's southern condos. The most efficient starting point for a group focused purely on the Lake Boca raft-up.

A protected marina beside the Hillsboro Inlet in Lighthouse Point, with the fastest ocean access on the north coast. Charters can run the Intracoastal 25 to 35 minutes north to Lake Boca or cut straight out the Hillsboro Inlet to the reef line and back in through the Boca Raton Inlet.

A full-service marina on the Intracoastal in Pompano Beach, 35 to 45 minutes south of Lake Boca. A scenic starting point that runs the full north-coast waterfront, passing Hillsboro Lighthouse, Lighthouse Point, and Deerfield on the way up to the lake.

The flagship Fort Lauderdale marina on A1A, home to the largest yachts in the Crown Yachts fleet. Lake Boca is a scenic Intracoastal cruise of roughly an hour to ninety minutes north, or a faster offshore run out Port Everglades and back in through the Boca Raton Inlet. Best for groups making a full day of it.

Directly across from Fort Lauderdale Beach at the base of Las Olas Boulevard, steps from the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea reef. A Lake Boca day from Las Olas naturally combines the Las Olas Isles superyacht row and the north-coast Intracoastal into one long cruise before anchoring at the lake.

The lake itself is the main event. A protected saltwater lagoon just inside the Boca Raton Inlet, shallow enough to anchor and swim, calm enough to raft several boats together. On weekends it becomes South Florida's premier floating party, the anchorage behind the famous Boca Bash. Your private charter drops anchor in the thick of it with the pink Boca Raton Resort on one side and the Atlantic inlet on the other.

The Boca Raton Inlet opens the lake straight to the Atlantic, framed by South Inlet Park and the landmark pink tower of the Boca Raton Resort. It is the most photographed backdrop on the lake and the gateway for boats coming in off the reef line. Calm-water days let charters ease out the inlet for a look at the oceanfront before returning to the anchorage.

The 1907 Hillsboro Lighthouse marks the inlet between Lighthouse Point and Hillsboro Beach. It is one of the brightest lighthouses in the country and the signature landmark of the north-coast run to Lake Boca. Nearly every Intracoastal cruise up to the lake passes it, and offshore routes use the inlet to reach the reef line.

The living coral reef line runs close to shore off Boca Raton and Deerfield, shallow enough to snorkel straight off the boat on calm days. A Lake Boca charter can add a reef snorkel stop outside the inlet before dropping anchor on the lake: clear water, tropical fish, and a swim on the reef in the same afternoon.

Just south of Lake Boca, the Deerfield Beach shoreline, its wooden pier, and Deerfield Island Park sit right on the Intracoastal approach to the lake. Charters from Cove Marina pass all of it in the first fifteen minutes, making Deerfield the natural launch point for a Lake Boca raft-up.

On a full day from a Fort Lauderdale marina, the run up to Lake Boca can be bookended by the Las Olas Isles superyacht row and the New River mansions. See the Fort Lauderdale waterfront on the way out, anchor at Lake Boca for the afternoon, and cruise back down the Intracoastal at golden hour. The most complete north-coast itinerary on a single charter day.
