NORTH MIAMI, FL

North Miami Boat Rental, Two Causeways and the Sandbar

Booking a north miami boat rental or yacht charter through Crown Yachts Miami means exclusive use of a fully crewed private vessel from the marina that best matches your itinerary. One group, one boat, no shared passengers. North Miami is a mainland city in northeastern Miami-Dade County with two causeway routes to two separate marinas: the 79th Street Causeway east to Pelican Harbor Marina for Intracoastal south routes, and the 163rd Street corridor northeast to Bill Bird Marina at Haulover Park for sandbar and Atlantic access. The fleet covers 55+ luxury yachts and boats from 40-foot sport boats to 116-foot superyachts, with a licensed captain and crew on every booking.

North Miami is unique among mainland Miami cities for its split-causeway structure. From the same city, guests can reach Haulover Sandbar in under 35 minutes total, or route south via Pelican Harbor toward the Venetian Islands and Star Island using a completely different causeway. The Oleta River Intracoastal corridor on North Miami's eastern boundary adds one of the most distinctive stretches of the Miami waterway to any northbound charter.

Every north miami yacht charter and boat rental is fully customizable before you board. Add a private chef, professional DJ, open bar, custom decoration, or catering service. Departures from Bill Bird Marina, Pelican Harbor, and all major marinas accessible from North Miami.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How a North Miami Boat Rental Actually Works

A north miami boat rental or yacht charter is simpler than most people expect. You contact us, we send a curated shortlist of available vessels, and you drive to Bill Bird Marina or Pelican Harbor. A licensed captain and full crew are on board before you arrive. Here is what every booking includes from first inquiry to the final dock approach.

INQUIRE NOW
MAINLAND CITY WITH TWO CAUSEWAY ROUTES

Pelican Harbor via 79th Street, Haulover via 163rd Street

North Miami is one of the few mainland cities in Miami-Dade County with two independent causeway routes to two separate charter-grade marinas. The 79th Street Causeway runs east from North Miami directly to Pelican Harbor Marina on the Intracoastal, the central departure point for Intracoastal south routes toward the Venetian Islands and Star Island. The 163rd Street corridor runs northeast to Bill Bird Marina at Haulover Park, the preferred departure for the sandbar and Atlantic access. No other mainland city in the metro offers this split-route structure.

OLETA RIVER INTRACOASTAL CORRIDOR

Florida's Largest Urban Park on the North Miami Waterway

Oleta River State Park sits on the eastern boundary of North Miami where the Oleta River meets the Intracoastal Waterway. North Miami charters routing north via the Intracoastal pass one of the last undisturbed mangrove corridors in Miami-Dade County before entering the luxury tower stretch of Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura. The contrast between the Oleta mangrove shoreline and the high-rise corridor immediately to the north is one of the most distinctive stretches of the Miami Intracoastal on any northbound North Miami charter.

FASTEST MAINLAND ROUTE TO HAULOVER SANDBAR

Under 35 Minutes Door to Anchor from Most North Miami Addresses

From most North Miami addresses, reaching the anchor at Haulover Sandbar takes under 35 minutes total: approximately 15 to 20 minutes driving east via 163rd Street to Bill Bird Marina at Haulover Park, then under 10 minutes by water to the sandbar anchorage. That puts North Miami among the fastest mainland departure zones in Miami-Dade for sandbar access, competitive with or faster than many addresses inside the City of Miami proper.

NORTH AND SOUTH IN ONE CHARTER DAY

Haulover Sandbar and Star Island from the Same City

North Miami's two-causeway structure means a single full-day charter can cover both the northern and southern Miami waterways without repeating a stretch. A typical 8-hour format departs Bill Bird Marina for a morning anchor at Haulover Sandbar, routes through Haulover Inlet for Atlantic views, then transitions via a marina swap or Intracoastal return south toward the Venetian Islands and Star Island in the afternoon. No other mainland neighborhood in Miami-Dade offers both destinations as practical same-day options.

EVERY ADD-ON PRE-LOADED

Chef, DJ, and Bar Ready Before You Board

The private chef, professional DJ with full sound and lighting, open bar package, and custom decoration are coordinated and loaded before your group boards at Bill Bird Marina or Pelican Harbor. No day-of logistics. Every add-on confirmed in the charter agreement and in place from the moment the yacht departs.

CHARTER DURATION

Half-Day to Full-Day North Miami Boat Rentals and Yacht Charters

North Miami boat rentals and yacht charters are available in 4-hour, 6-hour, and 8-hour formats. A 4-hour charter from Bill Bird covers a full Haulover Sandbar stop and an Atlantic pass via Haulover Inlet. A 6-hour charter from Pelican Harbor reaches the Venetian Islands via the Intracoastal south. An 8-hour charter connects the sandbar in the north and the celebrity island chain in the south in a single day. Multi-day passages to the Bahamas are available on select vessels via Haulover Inlet.

It was our first time exploring Miami by yacht and it was one of the best experiences we've had. The crew took great care of us the entire time. They were super friendly and patient. We stopped at multiple spots to take photos and the captain was more than happy to adjust the route whenever we wanted. Marinda also helped capture so many great moments for us, which made the whole experience even better. We will absolutely be returning!

We rented the 66ft Azimut during our trip to Miami and it was honestly one of the best days of our vacation. Everything was smooth from the start. We ordered food and drinks ahead of time, and when we arrived, everything was already set up on the yacht and super fresh. The drinks were already chilled in the ice box, which was perfect. We had an amazing time out on the water, everything was exactly how we hoped it would be. Definitely recommend Crown Yachts Miami if you're trying to have a fun day out with friends. Would 100% book again!
